News from the Trails, the City and the Road

Having successfully returned from a weekend drowning in booze, as well (although not at the same time) driving and shooting things I can bring you all the news.

In mountain biking circles it looks like Northern Ireland is set to follow Wales and Scotland into the realms of a riding holiday destination as trail building ramps up a bit.

In city cycling terms apparently Hackney is the cyclingest of boroughs in London, with more people claiming to use a bike than a car.

Otherwise the pro season is steaming ahead with the Tour of Qatar on as we speak as well as the Mallorca Challenge giving some of the big guns form Sky a first race out. In Team Sky news, the story that seems to be just not going away (understandably perhaps) is about the Wiggins and Froome potential friction. Here’s another view and the season looks to be lining up to be interesting.
