First-up I’ll be taking a brief break in order to go and help someone get drunk for a stag do, so you’ll see posts resume here on Monday 4th or Tuesday 5th February, depending on my hangover.
Enjoy the break, maybe brave the wind and go riding?

Kit that Just Works.
3. All Weather Top.
I’m on my second Gore Ozon Windstopper having destroyed one by sliding along the road on it at one point. It’s one of those cycling tops that you can’t see when you’ll wear given it has short sleeves and a windstopper winter-style material. Then you realise you wear it every day.
I’ve done big rides, short rides, in summer, winter and everything in between in the top and it’s always my first choice. It works as a mid layer in the depths of the cold, and on its own up to anything but the hottest days, even in between it can sit nicely over a baselayer.
The zip tab tore off and now is replaced with a zip tie, but I keep riding in it, making it well worth the steepish price tag.
As with all these things, it really does just work and makes you feel good.
