News, Slightly late, but still News

Running behind the times a little this week with the pressures of Christmas drinking, Day Nurse, and it generally feeling like the busiest run up to Christmas in the history of the world I absolutely meant to mention the Cobble Wobble hill climb competition in Frome last weekend (and please, please “froome”, not “fröme”). Luckily in the absence of me being any good at this reporting lark there’s a video to sum it up better:

Charge Bikes King of the Cobbles 2012 from Charge Bikes on Vimeo.

No longer climbing the top level hills in 2013, Katusha have had their WorldTour status revoked due to a number of problems, listed here. I am most intrigued by the charge of “Kolobnev under investigation for selling 2010 Liège-Bastogne-Liège win to Alexandre Vinokourov for £120,000” and hope to find out more about this in the future.

Finally (and also a bit later than it’s been all over the internet) the last part of the Atherton’s Four by Three video series. Does mountain bike cinematography and riding really ever combine better than this and just how big is that quarry line…
