I might have mentioned that urban downhill is all the rage this weekend and there’s even one in the UK. It amuses me that they have to stress that it’s in Wales not Cornwall so remember “Don’t get on the M5” (I mean, unless you’re coming from Birmingham or somewhere, or up from the South West…).
Elsewhere Lance Armstrong has been selected to be burnt in effigy form at a Bonfire Night party in Edenbridge. There’s clearly a joke or pun in there somewhere but I seem to be unable to put my finger on it. Maybe you can insert your own.
BBC radio 5 Live is jumping on the cycling bandwagon with a new magazine show that even features such shenanigans as a Chopper Challenge. Here’s that Liam Philips, who is getting everywhere:

On the subject of media coverage, the Revolution Series was on ITV4 on Wednesday night and offered top class track cycling in an easy-to-digest format. It was exciting and fun and definitely worth a look for the next round, or here for the highlights.
