I’ve been talking for a while about the idea of sponsorship for those cyclists who ride to work or for fun rather than in a competitive manner. It’s long seemed to me that this could offer an opportunity for companies to get exposure amongst the normal cyclists that make up the majority of those on a bike these days.
It seems that Giant Bicycles have a similar idea and have launched a scheme in Australia to support “Real Riders”. It’s only a first step and I think there’s much further that the idea could be taken. It will be interested to see what happens with the scheme and, whether they decide to expand it.
