It’s been a while since there was any good bikes-as-art stuff. Luckily there’s a new piece, which is, quite frankly, strangely beautiful.
The work by Ai Weiwei uses loads of bikes to create a huge landscape and looks amazing. Once again it’s good to see that bikes can represent more than just a way to get to work or to have fun in the woods.
Less beautiful but still in some ways bikes as something other than a practical transport mode is this report on Pretty Unique Bikes, all designed to do something utterly useless.
