That time of year has arrived again. With the clocks going back it’s now no longer a case of riding fast and hoping to beat the darkness home, but you are guaranteed a ride in the dark.
That is, unless, you work in a job that finishes before about 3pm.
So, now you can rediscover night-riding, which makes everything feel different. You feel faster, more vulnerable and also more in your own world, surrounded by all the different lights breaking the darkness. Somehow it’s more of an adventure as you tear between cars and along roads, not able to see all the cracks and obstacles you normally would, and this can make it far more.
The novelty will wear off in a couple of months, but for now it’s something new and like rediscovering an old friend.
