People into football get terribly excited as the transfer window offers all the excitement of where well-paid players will go in negotiations between rich clubs, and now that fun has hit British cycling.
Cycling’s hottest property, Mark Cavendish, has still not signed on the line to join any club. The most likely move seems to be to Sky, but as BikeRadar points out, he hasn’t done the deal.
Various reasons are floating about, including his sponsorship deals, and preferred bike, not least by some websites who are trying to analyse the movements of the key sponsors to see where he’s going.
I’m sure we’ll hear soon enough, and I’m virtually sure it’ll be Sky, but it’s fun to have these high powered negotiations reaching a sport that I really like.
