We’ve made it. Although it probably wasn’t the first time it could have happened, and it was helped by the clocks changing, this week was the first ride of the year all the way home without lights. Finally it feels like summer is coming and there’s a chance at some long sunny days of riding in the hills and playing out after tea in the evenings.
Riding a bike starts to stop being a fight and a chore and becomes a pleasure. Just in time for this watershed I have a new fork and headset to ride properly for the first time, and hopefully another FMFT summer trip to look forward to in a couple of months.
To add further to the joys of Spring, a bike lane has appeared on my route to work. I will let you know as it develops.
In light of all of this, I will keep this short and let you get out and ride – I know I’m itching to.

PS. It's April 1st, but once again we've got nothing...
