Fact and Fiction

Friday – as you may have realised – was April Fool’s Day. As ever we kept a keen eye on bike news for any stories we could bring you.

Some stories we found were obviously jokes. For example this video about a way of reducing pedal-bob on your full suspension bike:

Also – however much we hoped – this story of an uplift at Aston Hill also seems to be les than true. Also made up was the story of a proposed 40-foot statue of Boris Johnson on one of his bikes. We were less upset that this one was made up.

What was a bit more surprising was the number of stories that were actually true. The Terminator really was riding Boris Bikes in London, and the Fort William World Cup really will be Superhero Themed. Even more weird, Audi will really be collaborating to make wooden road bikes. Truth is stranger than fiction.
