One thing that always goes along with a tube strike is an outpouring from the pro-bike side about how cycling to work is the best option. Obviously we agree wholeheartedly. We don’t go quite as far as auction site Going Going Bike, who have come up with a number of reasons why the strikes are good for London, but we like the optimism.
Of course you might be looking for a Boris Bike to make your way across town with a lack of running underground lines, and there’s good news if you are, at least for the next strike. TfL has announced that work has started on the biggest bike hire station yet, at Waterloo.
For regular cyclists, of course, a strike means business as usual, apart from slightly more inexperienced riders mixing it up with you. However, if you want to add a bit more excitement, and perhaps an incentive to ride into work faster, then why not follow the example of this viral which is doing the rounds.
