Impromptu weeknight drinking does play havoc with the smooth running of this blog, so advance apologies for a frankly substandard Friday bulletin. It’s not helped, of course, by a dearth of exciting new bike news.
Anyway, aside form the dull rumblings of doping scandals and an ongoing march of bike shows there was good news in the form of Singletrack Magazine winning the BikeBiz best consumer magazine award. Singletrack is a superb magazine, and one with some links to FMFT so it’s a well deserved award in our opinion.
We also discovered the best school in the world with its own cycle circuit (although surely it’d be better with a BMX track) and maintenance lessons, which is a fantastic way to get people riding from a young age.
Finally there will be the millionth Boris Bike ride today. And I hope whoever makes it gets a prize. At the very least they should get to ride through some sort of paper filled arch or something.
