Staying Safe

There have, in the past, been calls for downhill mountain biking to be included in the summer Olympics but the BBC showed perfectly this weekend why this could be a problem. Billy Morgan, GB slopestyle snowboarder spoke about his run and mentioned he's been out to just “huck” it. The Beeb rushed to apologise for his language, failing to quite cotton on the vocabulary of extreme sport. Imagine the issues that would come up if downhill made the games as well.

Talking of extreme sport, this looks pretty painful:

Elsewhere Cav appeared to just not be competing sprints in what one Twitter commentator is amusingly calling the “Tour du Bai”. Marcel Kittel has been winning stages and Cav has seemed to be not making it to the front. Could this be a wobble in the season opener, or an indication of a drop in form?

Finally it was time to replace the sprocket on the commuter bike and an opportunity to compare the old to the new. I think you'll agree that this is what some people might call “worn”.
