Cummuppence

In the last couple of days there has been more news of doping from top level cyclists, as Canadian Ryder Hesjedal admits doping over ten years ago while a mountain biker on Rabobank’s development team.

Interestingly that seems to be the first major admission of doping in the mountain bike world. His current road team, Garmin Sharp, are backing him in line with their policy of supporting reformed dopers. As the 2012 winner of the Giro Hesjedal brings more suspicion over the sport and looks likely to escape any penalty due to the time that has passed.

Elsewhere there was the month’s most ironic news.

Perhaps it would be better if she’s watched this (slightly irritating) video from Sydney.
