Today Is Thursday

Following a solid (one year) tradition, a British winner of the Tour de France was also awarded the Velo D'Or riders' rider of the year award. This year the winner is Chris Froome, rounding off a spectacular season for him, peaking on the Champs Elysee and giving Britain a second Tour winner in a very different style.

While that is unexpected, but good news, there was a"tale form the other end of the spectrum of human emotion form south London. It's hard to imagine anyone who could take advantage of someone's misfortune in this way but it seems to be the reality of some people's lives. I hope the police manage to track down whoever was involved.

Incidentally yesterday's big joke was the Twitter conversation between Singletrack, VW Vans, and Mercedes Vans, but it really didn't work very well. I can only apologise.
