There's an element of fearlessness here which I envy, especially as after my run-in on Friday night I'm still finding that I'm slightly nervous riding to and from work, perhaps reminded by the pain that's remaining in my neck and back. I'm sure it'll come back but just for a moment you're reminded of how vulnerable you are on a bike in a big city with vehicles who can seriously hurt you all around.
Broadly I tend not to think about the possible consequences of it going wrong, but then one in a while it comes up and (in some cases actually) hits you.
Perhaps I need some sessions leathering down a hill or two to feel better. You can get that on prescription, right?
Something like this?
