Sunday Hangover Ride

Riding with a hangover can be annoying. The ride will inevitably start with pain and irritation that literally nothing seems to feel right about the bike or the way you're riding it.

Sunday morning was one such ride, although,in fairness there was actually something not right. Somehow my saddle had managed to slip back to be tilted with its nose a bit in the air. I debated how long I could put up with it as it was, but then, even through my slightly less than 100% state, I had to stop and adjust it. I was glad I did and the rest of the ride was a combination of gradually feeling better and a better perch.

The ride was also my first to check out a new bit of kit in the shape of an updated phone. I use a smart phone to log the rides for you and me, and it did that just as well as the old one.

My phone is also responsible for the pictures which litter this site, and I was keen to see how it did for this. The old phone, a Nokia N8, was very good at this (if lacking in other places) so it was a big challenge.

Have a look at the results and see for yourself. I would suggest that the pictures have less depth and are overall less impressive from the new Samsung S4 mini. Still, they show enough to help to share some of the ride with you.

In other news I have finally let myself get into Strava, uploading my rides and already excited about the top tens I have broken into. I guess there'll be more on that in the future.
