Under the Weather

Another day in Italy, another day for Wiggins to survive, and if reports are to be believed he has an excuse:

Still he hung on in with the big boys yesterday and lost no time to his rivals, while Garmin Sharp seemed to give up on their GC contender to go for a stage win, in classic style. Navardauskas took the stage while Hesjedal was put to super domestique duties:

As we creep towards the weekend in weather that feels more like January at times, I’m tentatively looking at options to extend the Hertfordshire ride in the hope that the weekend will start sunny and allow me a few hours on some fast bridleways. It means filling in times at work scouring maps and having big ideas that may or may not pay off in the end. It also means that balance of making sure the bike will be good for big rides I have planned as the summer rolls on, without missing out on chances to ride right now as I seemed to last year.
