Keeping an Eye Out

Hovering in the background of every cyclist’s mind is the cloud of the fear of having your beloved ride stolen. It seems there’s a bit of a cautionary tale coming from one of my standard spots as the Forest of Dean is being targeted by organised gangs who aren’t even afraid to take a bike from a locked Police compound.

When you do everything to keep the bike safe and it still gets nicked then it makes the loss even worse.

I’d like to think that the solution might be a poster with a stern pair of eyes looking out, but I fear it might not be enough to put off these gangs.

In other news I think you know you’re finished as an athlete when your own government even sues you for your cheating. Lance might think he’s bigger than any other power but the US Government has a longer history of thinking exactly the same thing and will probably win this one.
