There’s going to be a new book from the excellent bike blogger Bike Snob. In fact, when he’s on his third book is he a blogger, or just an author? Either way, having given up being anonymous he’s now free to star in a video to promote it.
In the spirit of people standing up and being counted, the editor of fast cars and horsepower website, Pistonheads, has publically come out as a lover of cycling. The thrust of the article is that there’s no real conflict between cars and bikes on the roads, and I agree, not least because most of the cyclists I know drive as well, especially to get to the best places to ride.
Also, it’s all about big-boy’s toys to an extent, as Dan Trent points out. Getting a marvel of technology and engineering and getting the most from it to go fast is the same in many ways if you’re on a £4,000 bike or in a £100,000 car. I imagine Dan would be a big fan of this ridiculously light and incredible bike from Germany.
