I bought a new chain tool, and I admit I went for the cheap X-Tools one hoping it would be reasonable quality. I removed the rivet form an old chain with no problems and liked the, er, action. Time for the new chain. Two turns in the threaded part snapped. Not what I expect from a tool that wasn’t even under stress.
Needless to say it has gone back to the shop and I have ordered a more expensive version, exactly proving the adage right.
There will be e break here for a couple of days as I attempt to help someone get married. It’s just too late to order it (and a bit out of my price-range) but this would surely make a great wedding gift?
Until the 26th March (for another short week), ride safely. I kind-of wish I was doing this.
