Obviously a lot of the news around cycling concerned on Lance Armstrong last week. This completely overshadowed the build up to the first big races, with Sky off to Australia to race the Tour Down Under.
However, what might be interesting is how Paul Kimmage, the journalist who has been after Armstrong for years, saw the interview.
Combining these things beautifully, an Australian library made quite the joke in refilling Armstrong’s books.
Continuing the theme of world-wide news, the Alaskans really out us to shame when it comes to a bit of snow. Considering the panic over the weather here (including from me, I might add. I’m not a fan of the snow particularly when I have to live normal life) we could probably learn something from our friends in Northern America. That gives me another bike to add to the wishlist, in the shape of a fatbike.
Finally, a place with a less progressive cycle-policy than here is definitely North Korea, where women have been, once again, banned for riding on (or on the back of) bikes.
