Twitter and Trials

It was an interesting day on twitter for cycling. The most interesting thing is probably that Dave Millar closed his account. I missed the tweet to embed for you but here’s a retweet of it.

This is a shame as Dave Millar was definitely one of those characters in cycling that was great to follow and his amusing insights gave an extra level to pro cycling. Where will we now get the same kind of intelligent commentary and stylish views as well as a heads up when the Team Sky Wags are having a twitter battle?

Otherwise, also on Twitter, I was made aware of the @cyclehatred account which retweets anti-cycling comments that appear across the network. It make scary reading and shows a side of people that you do hope they don’t mean, but have a nasty feeling they do. So it turns out that some of those drivers who act aggressively towards cyclists aren’t just doing it by accident.

It must be about time for some more Danny MacAskill news? I mean, he is the friendly face of doing things on a bike that I can only dream of. He’s in this fun thing for Red Bull

If that’s not enough for you then what about him riding with an older trials legend? Hans Rey represents the old-school of trials and he inspired a generation of hoppity riders, much as MacAskill is doing now. Oh, and also both of them can ride trails pretty bloody well as well.

What, wait, not mad enough for you? This'll do it.
