All Sorts

OK OK, you might have noticed I missed a day. Sorry about that, but occasionally visitors and events just get in the way. However, the day off might well result in something fun for you to enjoy later, so in reality you should be thanking me.

Anyway look at the treats I have for you today in a news-type roundup:

Remember that the Red Bull Foxhunt happened at the weekend? Well now there are results and great pictures for you to enjoy. Despite tweaking the rules Gee only managed second this year, but it looks like a great time was had by all.

Missing some Downhill action now the season’s closed out? How about a bit of a video?

Prefer the road? Well Wiggins is the unsurprising favourite to win this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year, in a year when British sport has been spectacular and the athletes in the running simply incredible. Tyler Hamilton, meanwhile, has won an award for his book which did much as part of the doping revelations of the last few months.

More of a Track fan? Well, not content with having a velodrome named after him, Chris Hoy will be launching a range of bikes that you could, conceivably, ride in it. Although they’re likely to be a lot more like the casual and commuter bikes his track companion Victoria Pendleton brought out, than high-end track bikes.

What else? Bicycle sculptures being auctioned for charity?

And the behind the scenes look at the Red Bull Kluge, featuring some top riders:
