Tour 2013

As a massive relief from talking about doping in cycling, the 2013 Tour de France route was announced yesterday.

The Guardian have identified the key stages and built an interactive to show you about them, and Team Sky gave their reactions to the route at the launch.

The full details, for your own analysis, are here. It looks like a bit of a climbers’ course, with some spectacular sprinting opportunities for Cav. The entire race will take place within France, with the Grande Depart in Corsica. Maybe one for Froome’s big win from Sky, or can Wiggins defend over the big climbing days?

With this going on there were some big interviews from major British riders. Cavendish spoke to the BBC about doping (inevitably) and his decision to leave Sky, while Wiggins spoke to Fred Perry about fashion
