Crying the Wettest Tears

It is with great regret that I have to announce the end of any semblance of summer. Anyone who rode to work yesterday will know that we’ve plunged back into a world of water with the added delights of pulling wet cycling kit on at the end of the day to do it all again. Cycling stops being a delightful way to get around and becomes a bloody-minded battle against the elements.

You will get wet. It will be unpleasant, but you’ll still probably get to work quicker than you would any other way, so try to remember that as you spend an extra 20 minutes in bed listening to the swoosh of the wet road.

As far as summer and the competitive road season went you still, at least have the memories:

And, it turns out it’s not too soon to look forward to next year:

Keep checking the forecast and trying to match your dash to work to the gaps in the rain. It’s time to become obsessed with the Met Office website again.
