By the nature of this blog I’ve managed to be super late with all the news for about a week or so.
To continue this, here’s some more stories you may well have read somewhere else first.
The bike courier community are mourning the loss of one of their most experienced and popular riders as he was killed in an accident with a coach. It shows that the streets can be dangerous for even those cyclists who have experience and skill, so be careful.
Also, Barclays are investing further in cycling in the capital by giving their support and sponsorship to the excellent Bikeworks project in East London which helps to get homeless people into work through learning skills in the bike shop.
You’ve probably also seen this video of Guy Martin going round the Orange Mountian Bikes factory in Halifax. But if not here it is again. I love his comments on downhillers and bar width.
All of this late news is undoubtedly why I didn’t make it into the Londoncyclist top 50 bike blogs list. There’s always next year, and in the mean time enjoy the excellent blogs on there.
