It’d be nice to go into the weekend with good news. Unfortunately there’s a lot of the other around.
I guess there’s a chance that by the time you read this the scourge of the fake policeman might have been brought to an end, but in the middle of the week there were reports flying all over the place about a man targeting bike shops with a fake police ID and stealing top end bikes. One shop even has a picture of him, so hopefully he is now in custardy.
In other places mountain bikers are being targeted by someone laying traps across a trail. I think it’s incredible that the guy who hit it wasn’t more badly hurt. I guess it’s a good thing he was riding in the snow and fully padded up, not in the summer.
Finally I imagine there will be more problems with cyclists crashing or hitting pedestrians in Paris, as they try out a scheme to allow bikes to go through red lights as long as they’re careful.
