Getting your bike stolen is annoying. If you’re an adult with a bike worth thousands it’s pretty devastating, but even more so when you’re a teenager who’s saved up for a bike for ages and then has it taken away.
Luckily even if the police can’t help then sometimes the bike can be recovered with a bit of work as this heart warming story from the Mail points out (as they take a moment off moaning about cyclists and are nice about them for once).
It’s good to know that he got his bike back but you do wonder about the message it sends to the thieves. Does this mean they can now expect to steal a bike and guarantee to get some money back for it from the original owners? I just hope there’s more to it and whoever stole the bike was brought to justice.
