It wasn’t long ago that the only people you could talk to about cycling at an even like a wedding were the few enthusiasts you might run into and then try not to end up only talking to them all evening. Today times have changed. The chances are that the person you sit next to at the meal will have a bike that she rides to work every day and is interested in all things bike, and the guy you chat to at the bar has been watching the Tour de France this year and wants to talk about it as well.
This, I guess, shows how much cycling is the new cool thing to do and how it’s massively growing in popularity. If you know a bit about it you’re not some weird guy, but the go-to person for hints and tips and practical advice as well as enthusiasm. As an added plus you might even find yourself more attractive to the opposite (cycling) sex.
Go and talk about cycling over a wedding breakfast and you’ll even find you’re getting more enthusiastic for it. That is, until you get knocked off by a car turning left across you a couple of days later and wonder why you do it at all.
