Tour Of Britain in London

The tour of Britain ended yesterday in an exciting 2-stage celebration around central London. Not only did I watch it on the telly, but actually went down to check it out. Those of you with quick eyes might actually have seen this, as there was an FMFT TV appearance just after the first corner as the lone leader tore away ahead of the peloton.

The day was a definite indication of the growth of cycling in the UK as massive support and a strong field made an event a genuine showcase of some of the best riders and racing that the tour of Britain has ever seen. Both the time trial and criterion stages offered some great racing and the opportunity to see some massive cycling stars up close as the course ripped round some of the most iconic sites of central London.
