Track-Time

Even on a not-really riding weekend it’s possible to squeeze in some bike time. This weekend was one of those, but still somehow included a fun wall-filled, flowing trip to top up my oyster card, and fast and hot session at Redbridge cycling centre.

I didn’t make it to Redbridge until late on Saturday afternoon so only got an hour on the mountain bike track, but that was enough in the heat and with the loose surface. It meant I went at it hard and fast and fought the gravel and pumped hard around the short track and then sessioning over the downhill and pump tracks. On the down-side I broke a shoe in a particularly sketchy corner as I slid and balanced with one foot down, unfortunately ripping the sole apart, but it was still and ace way to get a quick mountain bike fix.

Talking of riding at the weekend, the UCI BMX World Championships took place in Copenhagen and you can watching it all again here on Freecaster.
