If, like me, you would definitely swap to flat pedals if it wasn’t for the simply ridiculously annoying axle that always makes up part of them, then you are, quite simply, in luck. Tioga have released a flat pedal with no axle, neatly solving a problem that many of us didn’t even realise we had.
In other news you probably hadn’t worried about at all so far you can now see how far you have to ride your bike to justify its carbon footprint, thanks to Slate. I guess none of their figures includes the amount of driving you will be tempted to do (if you buy a mountain bike) to hit the best riding out there. It probably means you have to ride for far far longer, which is ok by me.
Finally some more news on the looting of Micycle in Islington which is far more worrying that any axle or carbon footprint questions, if you ask me.
