Urban Problems

The more I think about it the more I’m sure that it wasn’t quite right about the scene as I dodged the rain on a lunchtime trip to a bike shop.

I may be wrong but there was something about the guy briskly taking the bike from the side of the road and jumping on to ride off round the corner that didn’t feel quite legit. I may be wrong, and assumed I was as I saw it happen. I certainly wasn’t sure enough to pay enough attention to the cyclist, or get anything close to a description beyond his brightly coloured, possibly blue, trainers.

I forgot about it and put it down to someone jumping on their bike to head off somewhere, until I came back up the road form the shop and saw the, clearly cut, abandoned blue cable-lock. Maybe it’s a coincidence, or maybe I just let a thief get away. Either way it’s hard to know what I could have done to stop it, although I now have the nagging guilt of letting someone’s bike go, and doing nothing.

To feel better, and for any one who, like me, has been to a tourist site and thgouth it would be great to ride:
