Some days just turn into one of those classic good news/bad news type affairs. Today’s post is one of those.
In good news the mountain bike rescue service in Worcester has a new base. Not only is this good news for them, but it also made me realise that the service existed. It makes me happy that there are people out there that will give up their time to run a rescue service based on mountain bikes in both towns and on the Malverns. Also, it must work as the best excuse ever to get out of work and go riding.
However, what doesn’t make me happy is the report of the rise in violent bike muggings, where people are left badly injured as their bikes are forcefully taken from them. I don’t know whether the story is exaggerating the extent of the problem, but if it’s happening at all it’s something to be a little scared of.
