Anti-Theft Sting

There was no post yesterday due to the mighty and all powerful ruler of the internet apparently suffering some sort of meltdown which meant that I was unable to publish anything. For once it wasn't simply laziness or inefficiency on my part. To make up for it, here is a bonus Saturday helping of FMFT.

Like many cyclists I’m excited by new inventions, and often confused by new ways of doing things and incompatibility issues. What I like is a simple and elegant solution to a problem.

For example the Daily Mail was showcasing a new type of lock this week. It is environmentally sound, a strong theft deterrent and should be entirely portable, as long as you can get the bees to fly along with you. I just hope that whatever works as a key continues to work, or you might find yourself with a problem that’ll take more than a set of bolt cutters to get your bike back.

It also, like so many things about cycling, might be less effective when it’s not summer, but I definitely think there’s a future in nature-locks.
