You join us again after a busy bike weekend for FMFT. Not only did the fitting of the forks occur. But we also spent Sunday at Aston Hill Bike Park watching the Black Run Race.
We’ll ease you into the week carefully, before hitting you hard with the scary tale of the forks, with a few pictures from the race.
It was a fantastic day’s competition, with excellent weather, a dry track and some superb riding (as well as some that was less impressive). It’s amazing to see the number of people who turn out to compete (all at a really high level), and to watch on the side of a very steep woodland hill. Standing by the course gives you a much better idea of just how steep it is than you ever get by riding it and all sorts of ideas about heading back to ride it again. Anyway we actually have no idea of the results, which I’m sure will be up on Aston Hill’s website so we’ll shut up and bring you the pictures.
