It’s an awkward time of year for us at FMFT. There’s not a lot of news going on in the world of cycling and quite frankly we’re getting fed up with the weather and finding it harder and harder to find the real urge to get out and ride for fun.
Never mind, however, we’re not going to abandon you. There are things still just about going on. For example there are some great deals to be had on new bikes as shops discount the last of the 2011 models. So if there’s a moderately unpopular bike you’ve been lusting after all year and you’re an odd size then you might be able to snag it now. This might at least go some way to offset the rising bike prizes where you genuinely seem to be getting a little less for your money than you would have done five years ago.
If you’re more into the brand new things coming for2011 then get yourself along to the London Bike Show next weekend. You can feast your eyes on much of the shiny new bits and bobs you will be after this year and then rush out and apply for another credit card.
