Once again we at FMFT have to announce a small hiatus or break in transmission. There will be no post on here for a couple of days and we will return on Tuesday 5th October (pretty surprised that it’s October already).
If you’ve been finding yourself increasingly frustrated with the annoyances of your commute, including cars too close, impassable roads and the risk of theft, then it’s your lucky day as insurance company ETA have developed a bike that has all the equipment to deal with anything you might face. With a flamethrower, caterpillar tracks and ejector seat they are using it to highlight the commuting obstacles we all fight and calling it (somewhat predictably) the BOND bike.
The use of such a bike almost certainly is not advocated by Debretts’ new guide to cycling etiquette. Although it seems that a cheery attitude and a ting on a bell seem to be.
If you’re missing us and our cycling drama over the weekend then you can still get your fix while we’re away. It’s the weekend of the Road World Championships so you can watch British hopes fight it out in Melbourne. On a sprinters course it could well be Cavendish’s year. This is all well and good, but we think it’s even more exciting that it’s also the weekend of the Red Bull Rampage. Watch the preview below and settle in for an evening of the world’s best riders throwing themselves off cliffs on Sunday night.
