The Tour of Britain finishes tomorrow in London and FMFT would be going, except that we all have prior engagements so will just have to catch up in the evening with everyone else. Hopefully there’s going to be another bunch sprint like yesterday, which keeps all the drama going to the line. We might well review our thoughts on the race overall on Monday and use as many clichés as possible. We’ll make sure we mention “flying Dutchman” at least once. Until then, enjoy the racing.
Talking of things ending, I was sad to see that the Real Cycling blog, which has kept me entertained through many a long day at work, has come to an end. There will be a sad lack of quirky cycling facts and stories in every day from now. But possibly a marginal increase in the time I spend working as opposed to reading websites.
However, even with one less blogger to document it, cycling is still in the ascendency. It seems that the Rockhopper-mounted paramedics in London are proving very successful and have contributed greatly to saving lives and money in the city. Also, they bizarrely make me want some “Medic” shorts, although that might be confusing for everyone involved.
To finish off today, I know that you all really want to be on horses, rather than bikes. Never fear, as ever, FMFT have scoured the internet for the solution. Buy yourself this horse-silhouette, attach it to your bike and off you trot.
