The Weekend.

Well there was a lot going on this weekend as the Giro ended, giving Nairo Quintana his first grand tour win in a race I have drastically under-reported. In an effort to make up for this here's a video from Orica Green-Edge who were down to just two riders in the race.

Meanwhile Geraint Thomas won a second Bayern Rundfarht:

In media news, Future sold all it's cycling titles to Immediate Media, which represents a major shake-up in the reporting of all cycling in the UK. It will be interesting to see what changes.

I'll let them have a bit of exposure while they are still in charge of the UK cycling scene, and use them as a link to report the DiS XTR groupset that's been announced. I really want a go.

Finally I went and had a Sunday evening ride. It was a struggle with un-fit bile sitting in my throat and trying out the new bike on trails that it was massive overkill for. However the bigger wheels meant a fun cruise round the lanes and bridleways of Hertfordshire, and even lacking fitness I managed some second best times.
