Golden Weekend

As I have already mentioned, Sunday is the Downhill final of the Fort William round of the mountain bike World Cup. It's all live at 2:15 and is usually one of the best races of the season, so I strongly suggest you give it a watch live on Red Bull TV.

Elsewhere there was news from France that plans are afoot to pay people to ride bikes to work. I like this as an idea,and I think it should be introduced here as well. Eventually perhaps I'd collect together enough money to buy what must be the world's most ridiculous bike, that you couldn't even ride.

Also on a road bike there was confirmation (which isn't really surprising in some ways) that Wiggins will not ride the Tour de France this year.
