Welcome back. I've been away and have gathered tales to tell you of far-away riding and average biking closer to home. But, first, what's been going on while I was gone.
The Giro is in full swing in Italy and Quintana is leading a race that has had its fair share of weather and confusion to deal with. It will conclude this weekend and hopefully I'll be able to give you more information. The road season is in full swing with more going on than I can possibly wrap up here, including Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour of California, especially when there are a bunch of videos to show you. One that is worth mentioning is the Women's Tour of Britain which was won by Marianne Vos and is s significant jump forward for women's riding. The men will be off later in the year:
There was more big news with a new video from Danny MacAskill, which is, as ever, awesome. Check it out, including some more tricks that make your mouth hang open. There is also an excellent interactive look through behind the scenes.
Talking trials, Road Bike Party 2 was the thrilling project from Martyn Ashton, made around his huge injury. This film shows the story behind the video and is inspiring and touching.
One more video as a teenager literally flies to a race win.
Expect more exciting tales from my life on a bike in the next few days. Bet you can't wait.
