Wearing

Well the Tour Down Under saw a first proper stage sprint and there were big names involved. Simon Gerrans, in many ways a local hero and on the Australian Orica Green Edge team won a close lunge for the line ahead of Andrei Greipel.

Closer to home I like to share my worries with you when they are bike-related. Currently this is slightly concerning me:

The worn away coating in itself isn't a huge issue, but I am worried about what might have caused it. It might be twisting in the forks,or something caught in the lower legs, or I may have succeeded in bending a fork leg. None of those things seem like a good idea, and I am acutely aware of a previous set of forks I cracked in the past. I think all there is to do is to monitor what happens, although if I was entirely sensible I'd get them serviced and find out what's what. That would mean time off the bike so I'm putting it off, even though this time of year might be the perfect time to get it checked.

I'll let you know what happens.

The eagle eyed of you might have spotted a flat tyre as well, which is far easier to fix.
