Before we get into all of that let's look at what was going on elsewhere in the world.
It looks like there will be a clamp-down on drivers who enter the advance-stop boxes at traffic lights (as well as a similar increased attention on cyclists who jump reds). This will be an excellent thing and will hopefully improve safety for everyone at lights.
In Wales the first full episode of the Bike Park promo video went live, getting everyone excited.
Then there was the Whistler Crankworx event in Canada. This week long shindig has it all, from slopestyle, to downhill. Highlights as far as I'm concerned were the Speed and Style dual race, won by Sonderstrom, and showing the best of fast big tricks.
The Swede was also able to finish second in the Redbull JoyRide, behind winner Semenuk,where the tricks got bigger, but without the head-to-head element.
The spirit of the event is perhaps summed up best by the World Whip Championships, which pits riders against each other in a pure contest to style it right up..
