Imagine No Longer

Well, it’s the day we’ve been waiting for and Danny MacAskill’s new film, Imaginate, “drops” this morning. As I write this I’m hoping it’ll be here in time for the blog to go live with it, so what appears below may either be a gap for it to be slotted into, or the film itself (or possibly a link if Red Bull don’t make it embeddable).

While you wait, or possibly after you’ve been amazed, check out this film looking at downhill brakes, and featuring mechanics form the big name teams across the downhill circuit:

Perhaps hoping for a bit of this sort of action are the privateers who travel to the same World Cup events to race on their own budgets and for, arguable much more, fun. Pink Bike had a look at the campsite of a few of them in contrast to the slick Winnebago’s of the big name and showing, once again, that for all the glitz that can surround the top level mountain bike teams, there’s still place in the sport for people who just love it. Pretty sure that’s what makes it special.
