Super Results

Once I got the date right the BMX Supercross World Cup kicked off in Manchester at the weekend. By all accounts it was a storming competition for home grown talent as Shanaze Reade took the women’s crown, and Liam Phillips won the men’s event.

This is excellent news as British BMX is back on top and both riders will be encouraged as they already look towards the next Olympics. Shanaze in particular is desperate, from recent reports, to win gold after two rounds of the games were she has failed for various reasons to achieve the expectations that she had for herself.

I will expect videos of the highlights of the exciting supercross motos will start to do the rounds in the next few days and I’ll bring them to you as they appear.

Apologies for the short start to the week as I recover from yet another weekend of stag-do related drinking.
