Cross Riders

Over an eventful weekend I managed to find time to watch some of the Cyclo-cross World Championships which took place in Louisville, Kentucky, in horrific weather and with the extreme risk of flooding the next day. Through the mud it was interesting to see a cycling discipline that I don’t know much about, dominated by the Dutch and the Belgians, which seems to be a less fun version of mountain biking. Still the racing was intense and slippery with some fun crashes, dismounts and bunnyhops so it kept me going, just making me more keen to get out on my bike as soon as possible.

See for yourself:

The weekend also saw a high-profile bike theft as Garmin Sharp were stripped of all but their TT bikes in a night-time raid and had to pull out of the Tour Méditerranéen. I guess there are some fairly serious bikes hitting the Gumtrees and Craigslists of Europe.

To finish, a video that caught my attention but which I know I’m late to. However, I never can resist a riding round an office adventure.
