Standard Spanish Fare and News.

First up Monday night’s cycle show was almost good. Guests Sam Pilgrim, Dan Atherton (in late to replace Gee who was racing) and Stephen Roche actually gave a balanced feel to the disciplines covered as well as some interesting points, even if it did still fall short and the rumoured preview of Atherton racing’s new 4x3 film was hard to spot. The film is out on the 11th September anyway, so look out for it. Based on the Atherton project form the last few years it should be ace. In another unconvincing skills section Sam Pilgrim attempted to teach a 180 bunnyhop.

In other news. Trendy Vice magazine taught someone to ride a bike., and a fairly vice-ridden cyclist turned up to come second in a mountain bike race, in a discipline he’s presumably not banned from taking part in.

Otherwise it’s a video roundup:

This nice Northshore film was brought to my attention and looks super-slick and as insane as the BC scene is.

That RedBull Weavers event now has a full round up video:

That event was near Frome in Somerset and I can’t quite resist linking that to the Vuelta update later on. Look out for that. In the meantime Chris Akrigg is back on the bike in a big way. Check this out from a guy who might never have ridden again. He’s down t’mill.

Finally having mentioned Frome, Froome was in action in Spain over another sprinters stage, with a third catagory mountian making it interesting. A fourth win for Degenkolb ended the day with the Brit still in second, with 53 seconds to pull back in today's time trial.
