In France riders were once again left littering the road yesterday, including Cavendish, making him unable to sprint for the stage. His rivals took full advantage, with Greipel taking the win.
Cavendish did, however beat the best of the peloton in the intermediate sprint, gaining more poinrs for a jersey he says he's not defending.
